It was a busy weekend of championship action across all grades, with plenty of competitive and entertaining encounters.
Our Senior hurlers were involved in a tightly contested clash with Cuala, ultimately falling just short after a spirited performance in what was an excellent game of hurling.

The Intermediate side travelled to Na Fianna and were part of a high-scoring encounter, but despite their efforts, came away on the wrong side of the result.

There was better news on Friday evening as our Junior B team recorded another strong victory, delivering a comprehensive win over Ballyboden to continue their good run of form.

The standout fixture of the weekend saw our Junior A team earn a hard-fought draw away to Castleknock on Sunday morning. Playing with a strong breeze in the opening half, Lucan looked well set but still went in level at the break. A tactical reshuffle and some key changes after halftime paid dividends, with Lucan taking control and leading for much of the second half. However, a late Castleknock penalty looked to have turned the tide before Ciaran Keane stepped up to score a dramatic late point, ensuring a well-deserved share of the spoils.

The Ladies Football Championship got underway on Monday evening.
Our Junior C team were awarded a walkover from Craobh Chiaráin, getting their campaign off to a winning start.
Meanwhile, our Junior B side faced Ballinteer St John’s in their opening fixture. Despite a determined effort, they came up short on the night. However, with the championship just beginning, there is plenty still to play for in the rounds ahead.

Free Therapy for Men – Fully Funded Support Now Available
 MyMind, in partnership with the HSE, is offering six free counselling sessions to men aged 18 years and over living in Ireland.  
Get support for issues like stress, anxiety, depression, burnout, relationships, and more.
 The initiative is fully funded by the HSE as part of additional investment in men's mental health and is now available through self-referral, meaning no GP or healthcare professional referral is required.

 

GAA Regional Youth Forum
 The National GAA Youth Committee are extending an invitation to young people aged 12 – 21 years to attend a Regional GAA Youth Forum. The forum is open to all Gaelic games members from the GAA, LGFA and Camogie Association. The day will include a mix of chat, debate, discussion and craic!
 Led by the National GAA Youth committee those in attendance will be encouraged to share their opinions and experiences of Gaelic games, both on and off the pitch.
