Lucan Sarsfields Golf Classic
What a fantastic day we had at the Lucan Sarsfields Golf Classic 2026! Despite some challenging weather conditions, spirits remained high and the scoring was exceptional, with some outstanding performances across the course.
A huge congratulations to all our prize winners and to everyone who took part and made the day such a success.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all of our sponsors for their incredible support, and especially to Colm Corrigan Builders Ltd, our main sponsor, whose generosity and commitment helped make this event possible.
Thanks to everyone who contributed to our charity partner CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young), throughout the day, such a worthy cause.
Most importantly, thank you to everyone who supported the Golf Classic — our players, sponsors, volunteers, donors and supporters. Your continued backing of Lucan Sarsfields is greatly appreciated.
Finally, a massive thank you to our organising committee and volunteers. Countless hours of planning, preparation and hard work went into delivering such a successful event, and it would not have been possible without your dedication.
💚🖤 Thank you all for making the Lucan Sarsfields Golf Classic 2026 another memorable occasion. 💚🖤

Mini All Irelands
The Mini All-Ireland Series has been brilliant to date, with great skills on display, fantastic weather, and lots of happy children enjoying themselves throughout. Jackie has been doing Trojan work in the shop too, with the ice creams flying out the door in the sunshine.
Finals day is this Saturday, 27th June, starting from 10am in the 12th Lock. It’s sure to be a great day of football, hurling and camogie, with hurley stands, Noctra glove stand, burger van, ice cream van, Cúl Siotars, frozen yogurt stand, craft stands and much more.
There will also be live music in the bar from 9.30pm, so we would encourage everyone to come along, support the event, and stay on for the night in the club. It promises to be a great day and evening for everyone involved, and we hope to see a big turnout!!
Our U15 hurlers gave a fantastic account of themselves at the Regional Féile.
After a slow start against Bennettsbridge, the lads showed real character to bounce back with a strong win over Kilconieran, followed by a hard-fought draw against eventual cup winners Durlas Óg.
They carried that momentum into the Shield Semi-Final, putting in a dominant performance against Bruff of Limerick, leading from start to finish to book their place in the final.
In the Shield Final, they faced Inagh Kilnamona of Clare in a game that went right down to the wire. Despite a narrow defeat, the team showed tremendous skill, determination, and heart throughout.
A brilliant display of hurling across the tournament — their families and everyone in Lucan Sarsfields are incredibly proud of them.

Upcoming Fixtures
New LGFA Rules
The new playing rules will apply immediately to all adult intercounty championships at both provincial and national levels.
For underage intercounty competitions, the rules will not come into effect until 2027. This includes all juvenile intercounty championships, as the 2026 competitions are already underway, as well as the All-Ireland Under 20 Championship, which is due to begin shortly.
At club level, counties are not required to introduce the new rules for competitions that have already started, although they may choose to do so if approved at a county board meeting. However, the new rules must be applied to all U18 club championships that have not yet begun or are starting this month, and to all adult club championships in 2026, including those in Britain and Europe.
Separately, Dublin LGFA has confirmed that it will implement the new rules from July 2nd, covering all age groups from U13 through to adult.
Academy
As we wrap up another great academy season, we want to thank all our young players for their fantastic effort, enthusiasm, and progress throughout the year so far.
We hope everyone enjoys a well-deserved summer break and keeps practising the skills they have learned along the way.
A big thank you to all our coaches for their dedication and commitment, and a special word of appreciation to Alan, Ciara, and Donal for all their hard work and organisation behind the scenes.
Enjoy the summer, and we look forward to seeing you all again soon
