Lucan Sarsfields Golf Classic
The countdown is on as our Golf Classic is nearly upon us, and we’re delighted to say it’s a completely sold-out event. A huge thank you to everyone who supported it — the response has been fantastic.
Even if you didn’t manage to secure a tee time, you can still be part of the day and in with a chance to win by purchasing a ticket for our raffle draw. This is the club's biggest fundraiser of 2026 and your support with ticket sales for these last few days will be much appreciated.
On the day, we will also be running a 2s competition, with all proceeds going directly to our charity partner, CRY Ireland (Cardiac Risk in the Young). CRY is dedicated to raising awareness of sudden cardiac death in young people, supporting affected families, and promoting cardiac screening and research to help save lives through early detection.
Your support, whether through the raffle or on the course, will help contribute to this vital work.

Please find attached the link to the tournament app, where you can view all teams, fixtures, and mentor details. Please note that this is not downloaded in the usual way from an app store; instead, you can access it via the link and add it as a bookmark or shortcut on your phone for easy access. We encourage all volunteering mentors and families to take some time to explore the app in advance so everyone is familiar with locations and schedules.
On Sunday morning, we ask that all cars use the overflow car park, as the main car park will be used as a holding area where children will meet their teams. Coaches will be in this area holding their county flags, making them easy to identify. Please ensure your child is brought to their coach in good time and arrives at least 30 minutes before their scheduled start time, ready for their matches.
We kindly ask that everyone shows respect to mentors, referees, and players throughout the week to help create a positive and enjoyable environment for all.
Thank you for your support, and we look forward to a great week of football, hurling and camogie. 💚🖤

Under 14 Eire Og Tournmanet
A big congratulations to our U14 girls and boys footballers, who both played in the the Éire Óg Carlow football tournament over the weekend. The girls got the weekend off to a great start with a brilliant tournament win, showing superb skill, effort, and teamwork throughout. The boys followed that up with a tournament win of their own in the same tournament on Sunday, making it a brilliant weekend all round. Well done to all players and coaches on both sides for two excellent performances.
Minor A Laides Football
Our Minor A Ladies Football team received their Division 2 League winners’ medals at a presentation in the clubhouse on Friday night.
The girls were joined by team sponsor Danny Kenny of Babble Deli, who presented captain Siena with her medal and congratulated the team on their excellent achievement. Danny also said a few words to the players, recognising the hard work and commitment they showed throughout the league campaign.
It was a lovely evening for the players, coaches, families and supporters to come together and celebrate a well-earned league title.
Congratulations to all involved on a fantastic achievement. 🏆👏
Upcoming Fixtures
New LGFA Rules
The new playing rules will apply immediately to all adult intercounty championships at both provincial and national levels.
For underage intercounty competitions, the rules will not come into effect until 2027. This includes all juvenile intercounty championships, as the 2026 competitions are already underway, as well as the All-Ireland Under 20 Championship, which is due to begin shortly.
At club level, counties are not required to introduce the new rules for competitions that have already started, although they may choose to do so if approved at a county board meeting. However, the new rules must be applied to all U18 club championships that have not yet begun or are starting this month, and to all adult club championships in 2026, including those in Britain and Europe.
Separately, Dublin LGFA has confirmed that it will implement the new rules from July 2nd, covering all age groups from U13 through to adult.
Academy
Our academy is back and is open to all boys and girls aged between 4-7. The academy runs every Saturday – no need to sign up in advance, just turn up and give it a try.
Age group times are as follows; 2021/2022 - 9am, 2020 – 10am and 2019 – 11am.
