Lucan Sarsfields Golf Classic
The countdown is on as our Golf Classic is nearly upon us, and we’re delighted to say it’s a completely sold-out event. A huge thank you to everyone who supported it — the response has been fantastic.
Even if you didn’t manage to secure a tee time, you can still be part of the day and in with a chance to win by purchasing a ticket for our raffle draw, which features lots of great prizes. Tickets can be bought in the cafe or behind the bar.
On the day, we will also be running a 2s competition, with all proceeds going directly to our charity partner, CRY Ireland (Cardiac Risk in the Young). CRY is dedicated to raising awareness of sudden cardiac death in young people, supporting affected families, and promoting cardiac screening and research to help save lives through early detection.
Your support, whether through the raffle or on the course, will help contribute to this vital work.

Under 9 Hurling Blitz
It was a fantastic morning of hurling last weekend as our Under 9 boys hosted St Jude’s and Cuala for a well-attended blitz. There was a great buzz around the pitches, with plenty of skill, determination, and teamwork on display from all three clubs.
Our boys showed excellent progress, with some brilliant striking, strong tackling, and great support play throughout the games. Most importantly, there was a huge emphasis on enjoyment, with every player getting well involved and playing with real enthusiasm.
A big thank you to St Jude’s and Cuala for making the trip and contributing to a great morning of hurling, and to all the coaches and parents who helped organise and support the blitz.

New LGFA Rules

The new playing rules will apply immediately to all adult intercounty championships at both provincial and national levels.
For underage intercounty competitions, the rules will not come into effect until 2027. This includes all juvenile intercounty championships, as the 2026 competitions are already underway, as well as the All-Ireland Under 20 Championship, which is due to begin shortly.
At club level, counties are not required to introduce the new rules for competitions that have already started, although they may choose to do so if approved at a county board meeting. However, the new rules must be applied to all U18 club championships that have not yet begun or are starting this month, and to all adult club championships in 2026, including those in Britain and Europe.
Separately, Dublin LGFA has confirmed that it will implement the new rules from July 2nd, covering all age groups from U13 through to adult.
