There was so much excitement at Lucan Sarsfields GAA for All when the Air and

Sea Rescue helicopter came to visit! The children couldn’t believe their eyes when

the helicopter circled over the clubhouse as they gazed skyward, and then eventually

came in to land on the pitch. The children then had the opportunity to talk to the crew

and have their photographs taken. Alan and his crew explained that if they were

called to an emergency they would need to take off at short notice.

Our local community gardai Bernie and Tommy were also present and the children

got a chance to talk to them, get photos taken and sit in the garda car.

We are so grateful to the Air and Sea rescue crew and to the gardai for helping us to

create this unforgettable experience for the children, thanks also to the club for

giving us permission to arrange this event.

GAA for All is a Healthy Club initiative, providing coaching for children with additional

needs, which runs weekly in our club. This is made possible thanks to the work of

our adult volunteers who are supported by our wonderful teen coaches.

Our U14B camogie team secured their league title on Tuesday with a win over Erins Isle. An incredible season for the girls as they went unbeaten this year. A huge congratulations to the team and management!

Comhghairdeas leis na cailíní i Gaelscoil Eiscir Riada ar a mbua i bPáirc an Chrócaigh. A massive achievement for these girls, some of them who celebrated their fourth time winning in Croker! Great to see the Lucan flag being flown!

Summer Camps 

Our summer camps and campa samhraidh trí ghaeilge are open for registration, but spaces are filling up fast. Our July 7th and August 11th camps are already at 70% capacity. Open to all boys and girls starting primary school in September or just finishing primary school this year. We welcome both members and non members of all abilities. 

All our camps are dual football and camogie/hurling, hurls and helmets can be provided if needed. This year alongside our camp jersey each child attending will also receive a Lucan Sarsfields Camp sliotar! We would like to thank Keane Windows for their continued support of our camps.
