Hurling
November 15th was “Super Saturday” at the 12th Lock as we hosted a fabulous hurling double header in front of a very large crowd that created a super atmosphere at the club.

First up was the U16A Championship Final in which Lucan faced Raheny. Our lads emerged victorious after a great match, 1-15 to 1-10, to capture the premier underage hurling Championship in Dublin for the first time ever for the club.

Great credit due to all the players, their mentors and parents. The performance, work rate and attitude of the team was magnificent throughout. The Adult hurling section would particularly like to congratulate team manager Darragh Hunt, and coaches Kieran Murphy and Ciarán Dowling who all continue to make a huge contribution to the adult hurling also.

The second match saw Lucan face Kilmacud Crokes in the U21A Championship quarter final. This was a repeat of last year's epic final which Crokes won on penalties. There was plenty of drama this time too, but the result was reversed as Lucan emerged victorious by a single point, 1-20 to 0-22. Lucan now travel to face Raheny in the semi-final on Nov 30th.  We will need an equally big Lucan support that day for what will be a very tough assignment.

Camogie
Well done to our U21A’s on their strong win over Na Fianna at home which sees them through to the semi-final. Hard luck to the U21B’s on their loss to Kilmacud Crokes.

Applications are invited for the position of Minor A Camogie Management for 2025. Anyone interested in being considered, please email secretary.lucansarsfields.dublin@camogie.ie. Closing date is Sunday 1st December 2024.
